At Thornton Lodge farm we believe that horses of all shapes and sizes, from top class performance animals to much loved family friends should be as happy and as fit for work as possible, making their and their owner’s life enjoyable and fun filled.

We work with several specialists to help you get the best from your horse whether through remedial farriery, McTimoney therapy or training sessions with top local instructors.

Tim Jarman - Animal Physical Therapy

Tim holds a very popular monthly clinic at Thornton Lodge Farm and is always heavily booked. He practices Mc Timoney Therapy which has been proven beneficial not just for equine patients but also for many other types of animal.

Tim is equally happy to treat canine patients at the farm and many happy dogs have left here following one of his sessions.

Phil Harland – Farrier

Phil has a long association with Thornton Lodge Farm and is an extremely experienced farrier who specialises in surgical shoeing and hoof problems. His clinics are usually held on the same day as Tim’s and jointly or individually they are able to offer an invaluable insight and opinion into many physical problems hindering the performance of the horse.

Margot Tiffany – BHS Regional Chair, Dressage Trainer and Judge

Margot holds several training clinics through out the year which make full use of the excellent equestrian facilities at Thornton Lodge Farm. Her expertise is highly regarded and clinic spaces are always very popular. She is happy to teach on an individual basis with lessons lasting 45 minutes or in small groups (2-3 riders) with lessons lasting an hour.
